Sea belongs to none.But if one country claims to own it,the other nearby countries would naturally claim their own portion.But why would one claim rights over sea?Obviously for some good benefit.Let's relate this to South China Sea. 

Spratly island may be tiny but it is strategically at the heart of the South China Sea and draws major attention in this dispute.Some of the islands are controlled by the Philippines,some by Vietnam,but most importantly,all of the Spratly island and whole of South China Sea are claimed by China and it is a claim that China is starting to enforce.But what benefit would one get by fighting for this tiny scrap of land?The significance of the place is that it has a runway and a really long one.There are only 2 islands in the whole of South China Sea which has runways.The other one is controlled by Taiwan.If one wants to control the sea,one would need aircraft.If one has aircraft,one needs runway.Now one would well understand why China wants to get its hand on this place.China is prepared to fight for territory.It is building its own aircraft carriers,submarines and long range missiles.Beijing is spending billions in building new island bases.They do not have good island so they are literally dredging up soil,dumping it into reef and creating new island.Beijing is trying to force Philippines out.

Unable to defend itself militarily,Philippines is trying something else which is colonization. Around 100 people live in this island.They are really poor.Government pays them so they are there.It would be very expensive for them to live a life in mainland and in this island everything is free.Having this colonization here is significant because it strengthens the Philippines claim to this island and makes it difficult for China to kick them out.Settlers have said that overfishing by Chinese trawlers have destroyed the fish stock.Philippines is seeking help from UN.

UN is trying to ensure stability.China is building new ultra silent submarines to keep out UN navy.China is trying to build a new air base in South China Sea.It wants to keep America and its allies out and wants to take control over South China Sea.

UN is trying to reach a solution and as the dispute is clear to us,we must also put a thought on this issue and help UN to reach a solution.

Elderly influence our lives by acting as a catalyst.Ours is the age where one could easily be misled.Elders' opinions are the most precious ones.Elders remain detached from the world,have lots of experience and wisdom.Elders' know what the real world is and what is the truth of life.We must allow them to play the most influential part in our life.Once we allow,we will experience a blissful life.
In this age of internet,youth seems to dominate.Youth thinks that elders hold outdated views.But "Hello! Youth,you have to live the life and not the internet." Internet will help you solve few of your problems and may show you many life experiences to learn from and move up in your life.But 'mark',these experiences are also posted by elders whom youth thinks to hold outdated views.Elders have lived more than us and they are the ones who dominate us.They influence us from both real and virtual world and show us the right path.
We belong to the age of "Use and Throw".We know how to create negative externality.But our elders belong to the age of Reuse,Recycle and Real(not Virtual) sharing.They influence our lives by teaching us to share and not be greedy.
Elders remember a time when family and social activities were the central focus of life,not shopping and owing stuff.Elders remind us that life can be rich and fulfilling without all the materialistic things.They teach us how to get those things which money can't buy.They also influence us in building a good monetary portfolio.They teach us that we need to work hard to earn money to buy necessities in life,but that we mustn't run after money as if having more than others that would make us more important.The value of elders is realized only when they aren't there.
In this age of easy access to credit which encourages us to go into debt, they influence us to save,make money and then buy things with self-earned money.They teach us to be self-reliant.
When we feel depressed and are not happy with our job,they influence us by teaching us how to work whole-heartedly.They motivate and encourage us.Youth thinks that elders give lectures but those lectures are actually the words of wisdom that we could use as a catalyst to solve our problems and live a balanced life.

For supporting them what we,"The Smarter Generation",would do is donate huge amounts of money and post a little deed done by us on social media with #SupportElders. Elders aren't fond of money.Supporting an organization is an indirect way.When one supports elders directly,they feel more happy. One could support elders by helping them with their work,listening to them,showing full interest in whatever they speak,if we feel they are wrong then we must question our doubt politely without raising our voice,talking to them,spending time with them and not allowing themselves to feel lonely.Without elders there's no life.
Elders have lived a life and deserve respect.In the University of Life,they are our Seniors who have cleared many examinations(obstacles).We need to value and support them.They have nurtured us since birth and we must support them in every possible way.When we support them,we give them the opportunity to influence our life.The more we get influenced,the better.

Literally Mr Rajesh Kumar Yadav's paintings gives us a view of every world.The "Fankaari Fossils",an art exibition,at Birla Academy of Art and Culture showcased his paintings in a systematic way.The paintings were arranged in a way that one could find a link of any painting with its previous one.Every painting in itself showcased an excellent art!

The uniqueness of his paintings lies in the fact that every painting has a human face.One could also find a fish, which signifies our 'restless mind', in his paintings.

The first art at the Art Exhibition was a mask which signified different moods and things we get to see in this world.The start with a mask was meaningful as every painting following it showed many different moods and things.

The Planets is where from the things begin.Things begin from universe and then comes individual life.His paintings literally showed that.The more minutely you look at it,the more blissful you would feel.The artist beautifully shows life and time.'Face to Face' paintings were amazing.

See the uniqueness here,a single painting shows so many things.There is a human and an animal.Human's hand could be a chair's arm too.In a single painting every aspect is shown in less area.

'Nature with Buddha' is expressed so well.A deer symbolizes nature and how cleverly deer is used to make up a tree under which Buddha is standing.

This chariot could be one of his best masterpieces.He is from Udaipur and no wonder he expresses it well in his paintings.This masterpiece shows a fort which is carried on by the King on his chariot with lemon and chilly tied on it.Artist beautifully captures the world around him.

Another masterpiece of this artist.See how beautifully he shows the story.On the right at the top there is a Sun and a Woman below it signifying woman's strength.The man in the middle is smoking and spoiling the world.

 Tagore

The exhibition was held in Kolkata.So how could one forget Rabindranath Tagore.Artist beautifully shows the life of Tagore in his painting.Heart becomes blissful seeing this painting.Every aspect of Tagore's life(music,books,etc) is shown in this single painting.Kolkatans would love it.

Artist beautifully shows four different rules to stay blissfully in this world.He, in his iron painting,shows that we are an iron to our life.The way we tighten our clothes with an iron(1),in a similar way we need to tighten up our life!The Kettle(2) shows the art of giving.The more we serve,the more happy we feel!The Lantern(3) shows we need to educate others and spread the light of knowledge.Like a horse(4) we need to migrate from place to place.These four paintings were shown under the head Life and Fossils.

Artist displays the childhood well in his paintings.We feel mesmerized seeing it.A child is shown with a passion of car in his mind,going to circus and falling for a girl.Every painting is expressed in an excellent way!

There was a Mr. Bulb. The Bulb had a human face and every face had shlokas written in it.We need to enlighten our brain with shlokas.Mr.Bulb was really amazing!Few paintings showed current affairs.The shades went from dark to light while the button in the painting went from light to dark.The last one showed many colourful buttons which meant there are many colourful buttons in our brain.

Wanted to see many more paintings of this famous artist.These masterpieces could make anyone's day.When one goes around the gallery and reaches the end,one would again find a mask.How cleverly painter had put up his paintings!All were awaiting for his next exhibiton and were eager to see more paintings.

Many people will make the statement that they want to start tomorrow, or next week, or after this holiday. In all honesty there is no time like the present to get started. Many people just keep on waiting for right time and moment to come in their life. We must not wait for opportunities to come to us, we must make our own.

 The statement "Begin now to be what you will be hereafter" by William James needs to be implemented in our lives.

 When it comes to manifest dreams and to accomplish goals, always ask the following question: Am I actively moving in the direction of my goals and dreams each and every day? The job is to narrow the distance between where you are and where you want to be until it no longer exists.

For this real education is needed.Unless we are educated we cannot make all around progress. We must wish to see  a rich world(rich by knowledge and by wealth).

Success will never be a big step in the future, success is a small step taken just now. ~Jonatan Mårtensson

That which needs to be done should be done at the earliest. The quicker you shorten the distance between where you are and where you want to be, the more empowered you become.If we talk with any successful person then we will easily come to know that she/he has set a vision for her/his life since childhood. The dreams help us to set vision in our life. We should dream as much as we can and work hard to convert those dreams into reality. One needs to work smart and hard to achieve success in life.

To achieve success in life we must be now, what we will be hereafter. The morning comes after, every dark night. One should ignore the bad things and concentrate on the good things. With a positive approach one must start early. Life is a succession of moments and to live each, is to succeed. No road is long for the one who starts early!

Just a forwarded message and few arguments to support my point of view led to so many thoughts in my mind.Hope you gain some knowledge through this 'Rs.1' article.You may suggest your points of view and I would be happy to enter into a brainstorming discussion.
The forwarded message was:
" Why should you collect that 1 rupee change from the supermarket. Suppose 500 people visit a particular supermarket daily. No one collects change. 500×1= rs500. For 365 days, 500×365 = rs 1,82,500 This is from ONE SUPERMARKET. There may be 1500 branches of that supermarket in the country. rs 1,82,500×1500 = rs 273,750,000 27crore per year. & the worst part about this is, IT'S NOT EVEN TAXABLE because the bill doesn't count the one rupee, remember?
Now you know why they always put price tags like 49/- 99/- 999/- only?"

I always collect Rs.1 if i am supposed to collect it but please give it a thought to this approach of mine.
Now look at it from a different approach.You as an individual might not be able to invest that Rs 1 for some great purpose but if the company collects it from everyone then as per the calculation that amount of Rs.1 from careless individuals would turn out be Rs 27 crore.The company,group of all supermarket,would invest this 27 crore for some great purpose.This 27 crore would undergo the multiplier effect so the amount would turn out to be much more than 27 crore.Many sectors would be benefitted because of these careless people.So the magic is united Rs 1 from each individual could produce many things whose total worth would be more than 27 crore.It's just like donating Rs 1 for Indian GDP growth.There is no direct leakage of tax except fot the VAT at each stage and except for the cashiers keeping the amount of Rs 1 in their pocket. Cashier,if loyal or unloyal wont keep the amount of Rs 1 because Rs.1 is an immaterial amount for everyone nowadays. Whoever,the company or the cashiers, gets hold of all Rs 1 could definitely invest in or buy something valuable.The collected sum of Rs 1 which would be Rs 500 for cashiers,if they keep it being unloyal, of a particular branch(atmost Rs 50 for each cashier if there are atleast 10 cashiers) is definitely not a hard earned money for them so they would spend it lavishly without thinking much.So aggregate demand in the economy would increase,in turn leading to production of more goods.Black money transactions would turn into white money transaction. Now tax part,if cashiers individually keep the amount then company would never earn 27 crore and no tax terrorism occurs.Cashiers income generally is non taxable and a further addition of Rs 18250(50*356 if present all days) might not make a difference so there seems no tax default here too. Overall it would be a transfer of Rs1 from many to transfer of Rs 50 to few,all non taxable or a transfer of Rs 1 from many turning into more than Rs 27 crore benefiting the economy as a whole. So this is the magic of united Rs 1 in economic growth.Rs 1 individually is not taxable so when its sums up into something valuable and treated as charity fund for economy it should pose no harm to tax department and economy too.This doesn't mean you should stop paying taxes but this is just the magic of Rs 1 contributed by a CARELESS individual.This Rs 1 has taught the common thing,United we stand and divided we fall, in a different ,and for some a complicated, way.

How is Union Budget 2015-16 beneficial to poor?

 "Kuch to ful khilaye hain, kuch abhi khilane hain, par baagh mein ab bhi kaante kuchh puraney hain," (We have made some progress and are working towards achieving more goals, but there are some hindrances in the way).

Yes this criticizers wont look the positive aspects and be a hindrance to our growth. But the positive seekers can definitely create some positiveness out of the things criticized. This is how we prosper.

  The attitude should be:

      More You Criticize, More I would prosper.

How is Union Budget 2015-16 beneficial to the poor?

The Budget was growth oriented and there can be no growth without the help of poor people. This budget wasn't meant to please people, it was meant to develop the country they live in which will naturally improve the quality of life and subsequently help them.

I just heard one famous personality saying that Union Budget 2015-16 is not beneficial for the poor.He might be correct from his point of view.

I just jotted down few points which shows that Union Budget 15-16 is beneficial to the poor.

Let’s have a look at how union budget 15-16 is beneficial to the poor.

Several quarters have expressed some grief over not getting any 'direct benefit'.  Perhaps they expected the FM to hand out some gold coins, diamonds, and TVs? 

Direct benefits may be less but indirect are many.

• The government has proposed to build 6crores home under the programme ’Housing For All’. Direct Benefit: People would get a roof. Indirect Benefit: Poor people would be involved in making the houses. They are the ones who are hired for construction purpose. They would be employed, they will earn a wage and would also get a roof.

• All homes must be connected to roads. Direct Benefit: No one would be isolated. Everyone would be connected. Indirect Benefit: Roads would be constructed by the poors only, they will earn a wage.

•  Jan Dhan to Jan Suraksha. Direct Benefit to senior citizens below poverty line: A new scheme for providing Physical Aids and Assisted Living Devices for Senior Citizes living below the poverty line. Unclaimed Deposits of about Rs 3000 crores in the PPF, and approximately Rs 600 crores in the EPS corpus to be appropriated to subsidize the premium of Senior Citizen Welfare Fund.

The big thrust on infrastructure was expected, and we know that for the Railways alone, an infrastructure spend of one rupee has a ripple effect of five rupees on the economy.It is the big spending on infrastructure that almost always directly benefits the economy by boosting job creation, and by increasing liquidity, activity and development across all sectors.

I have not included all the points. I just wanted to give an idea that many of the announcements are indirectly linked to poor. They are the ones who help to build up the assets in the economy.  A rich person just pays the amount but the poor are the ones who work hard to earn that amount.

So if rules are eased for doing business or if there is a corporate tax reduction to 25% which will motivate the entrepreneurs or corporates it will lead to job creation and common man will be employed.  If common man or a poor person chooses to remain common or in poverty,if he chooses not to play his part and if he chooses just to relax and waits for the government to give him diamonds and make him rich, then he would never be able to come out of the common group or poverty.

Structural changes and an ideological shift is happening in governance. Hell won't break lose if tax slabs remain unchanged in a budget and remember that the poor don’t pay tax. We should be patient. Its a long road to recovery and Ache Din.

In the words of Ronald Reagan:

"We didn't get into this mess overnight; We aren't going to get out of it overnight".

Just A Play

Everything is just in a play. What we do is just a play. It influences people, impacts their mind for few moments. The next day they wake up, all impacts are lost. We try to make people aware by posters, dramas, street plays, etc. People take it as entertainment. Do we, the participants, ensure that something fruitful happened, do we ensure that somebody really changed or not? No, we just perform our duties and leave the place and so do others. We just know how to raise our voice and words. The participants need to do something that puts a deep impact on everyone’s mind and they do really change.

If one is participating in any type of play for a social cause then one needs to be perfect first or rather ‘tending towards perfectness’(as people say nobody is perfect in this world). Here, by perfect, I do not mean a perfect actor but a perfect believer of that cause. One needs to think deeply of the social cause and think about its cure. What most of the plays show is the cause. Everyone knows the cause but what the world needs is a cure, ‘a permanent cure’, to that cause.

Participants of play (here street play) do see the poor kids around them while performing. The situation is such that those poor kids who don’t even know their national anthem just enjoy the play and once when the play is about to get over, they see a good opportunity to ask for money and food from the gathered crowd. Participants of the play too see those kids asking for food. What participants seek is the opportunity to ask for a party, for performing well, from their head. The moment the head starts praising participants, they ask for a party. So here the real participants of the play shouldn’t ask for a party for spreading awareness of a social cause and if they are asking for a party then it should not be for themselves but for those poor hungry kids, then it would be so good. Even people around would be assured that the participants are not just actors but they do really feel for it.

If one participates in such plays then one must have the real feelings so people who see the participants after the play gets over do feel that they are not just actors but real believers. Then the people around would also get inspired to change. Just remember if you are doing something for a social cause just don’t ask for a return, just don’t think about profit. If you are a seeker of profit then just think that whatever you do for a social cause adds up to your karmic account.

The Great Indian Chamcha

  ‘Chamchagiri’ is the fascinating art that Indians seem to have perfected with years of tireless practice. Just look around and you will find many fake people, praising you to the skies just for gaining few favours. For such chamchas, flattery is the cheapest ticket to the haut monde. They see perks offered by their boss, they want increment without doing any productive work and always follow the “haanji pose( of TOI )”; students want marks without studying and gaining knowledge so they start flattering their teachers and often bribe them. Boss pays more to the person who flatters the most. Bribing works both ends. People at both ends think that they are benefitting but in reality they are losing. ‘Chamchagiri’ inevitably leads to corruption, something which is happening in India.

   The employees and students provide a micro model for the greater political scenario of chamchagiri in India. Its just a micro model trying to explain the macro model-The Indian Politics. Chamchas think of short term only and in the long run they are sure to lose. Foolish Boss gets lured by the flattery of employees(chamchas) which leads to his own downfall which in turn affects chamchas and this is what happened in Indian Politics. “Sonia Gandhi  has subverted the constitution without resorting to Emergency measures but simply putting chamchas into top positions.”-(Source:1) The result of keeping chamchas at top postion is in front of us.

  ‘Chamchagiri’ affects all walks of life. A junior might flatter his senior to get all his notes. Basically instead of putting 100% of his energy in creating his own notes, the junior would put more than 100% of his energy in flattering the senior and would dream of getting readymade notes. Here senior is a leader and will remain a leader and the chamcha will remain a chamcha. So do you want to be a Chamcha? Chamchas come up with brand new ways of flattery. They are witty but they use their wit in doing foolish things.

     We are chamchas to our politicians and they are our chamchas. Here's the vicious circle of chamchagiri. Volume of chamchagiri increases at every point of time. Politicians go around the country to flatter people to get maximum votes and people flatter their favourite politician to get maximum benefits, one of them being getting admission in a top college through political power. Chamchagiri is now a normal thing for us and has become part of our daily life. We are forgetting that because of chamchagiri we are losing our moral values and self respect.

  Actual chamchagiri in Indian politics starts from election time and completes the round at an interval of every five years. Practice makes a man perfect. Similarly Chamchagiri makes a perfect chamcha.

  Well all this was a part of my chamchigiri! I wrote this article just to please the readers. But why to please unknown people? Well this is one way to become famous. So I might be The Great Indian Chamchi!

New Year is no more a new year once a year.Confused? Well, New Year comes after every few days.Sometimes its English New Year,sometimes its Bengali New Year,sometimes its Tamil,Parsi,Gujarati New Year.There is excess supply of New Year in India.So, if someone says that they would start off with a fresh begining from new year,then i would like to ask them "Please be specific-which New Year?".Today, too, it might be a new year for someone.If its a birthday then also its a start of a New Year for someone.Every day is a begining of a new year if one probably thinks so. So, which is the exact new year?

 We have one life composed of many new years,many new months,many new days,many new hours,minutes and seconds.But life is not new.There is no fixed period for life after which someone would wish you a new happy life.Life means life-let it be one.People have started making parts in life too by distinguishing life in parts like-married life and many more.I wish you a happy life-life which you are living-life consisered as a whole and life not distributed in parts.If life is distributed in parts then You and I would get an option after every part,like if one part of life is happy then waiting for someone to wish happy life for another part.Let us wish ourselves, 'a happy'- no, "the happiest" life-the real life.
