SOUTH CHINA SEA

Sea belongs to none.But if one country claims to own it,the other nearby countries would naturally claim their own portion.But why would one claim rights over sea?Obviously for some good benefit.Let's relate this to South China Sea. 

Spratly island may be tiny but it is strategically at the heart of the South China Sea and draws major attention in this dispute.Some of the islands are controlled by the Philippines,some by Vietnam,but most importantly,all of the Spratly island and whole of South China Sea are claimed by China and it is a claim that China is starting to enforce.But what benefit would one get by fighting for this tiny scrap of land?The significance of the place is that it has a runway and a really long one.There are only 2 islands in the whole of South China Sea which has runways.The other one is controlled by Taiwan.If one wants to control the sea,one would need aircraft.If one has aircraft,one needs runway.Now one would well understand why China wants to get its hand on this place.China is prepared to fight for territory.It is building its own aircraft carriers,submarines and long range missiles.Beijing is spending billions in building new island bases.They do not have good island so they are literally dredging up soil,dumping it into reef and creating new island.Beijing is trying to force Philippines out.

Unable to defend itself militarily,Philippines is trying something else which is colonization. Around 100 people live in this island.They are really poor.Government pays them so they are there.It would be very expensive for them to live a life in mainland and in this island everything is free.Having this colonization here is significant because it strengthens the Philippines claim to this island and makes it difficult for China to kick them out.Settlers have said that overfishing by Chinese trawlers have destroyed the fish stock.Philippines is seeking help from UN.

UN is trying to ensure stability.China is building new ultra silent submarines to keep out UN navy.China is trying to build a new air base in South China Sea.It wants to keep America and its allies out and wants to take control over South China Sea.

UN is trying to reach a solution and as the dispute is clear to us,we must also put a thought on this issue and help UN to reach a solution.

Elderly influence our lives by acting as a catalyst.Ours is the age where one could easily be misled.Elders' opinions are the most precious ones.Elders remain detached from the world,have lots of experience and wisdom.Elders' know what the real world is and what is the truth of life.We must allow them to play the most influential part in our life.Once we allow,we will experience a blissful life.
In this age of internet,youth seems to dominate.Youth thinks that elders hold outdated views.But "Hello! Youth,you have to live the life and not the internet." Internet will help you solve few of your problems and may show you many life experiences to learn from and move up in your life.But 'mark',these experiences are also posted by elders whom youth thinks to hold outdated views.Elders have lived more than us and they are the ones who dominate us.They influence us from both real and virtual world and show us the right path.
We belong to the age of "Use and Throw".We know how to create negative externality.But our elders belong to the age of Reuse,Recycle and Real(not Virtual) sharing.They influence our lives by teaching us to share and not be greedy.
Elders remember a time when family and social activities were the central focus of life,not shopping and owing stuff.Elders remind us that life can be rich and fulfilling without all the materialistic things.They teach us how to get those things which money can't buy.They also influence us in building a good monetary portfolio.They teach us that we need to work hard to earn money to buy necessities in life,but that we mustn't run after money as if having more than others that would make us more important.The value of elders is realized only when they aren't there.
In this age of easy access to credit which encourages us to go into debt, they influence us to save,make money and then buy things with self-earned money.They teach us to be self-reliant.
When we feel depressed and are not happy with our job,they influence us by teaching us how to work whole-heartedly.They motivate and encourage us.Youth thinks that elders give lectures but those lectures are actually the words of wisdom that we could use as a catalyst to solve our problems and live a balanced life.

For supporting them what we,"The Smarter Generation",would do is donate huge amounts of money and post a little deed done by us on social media with #SupportElders. Elders aren't fond of money.Supporting an organization is an indirect way.When one supports elders directly,they feel more happy. One could support elders by helping them with their work,listening to them,showing full interest in whatever they speak,if we feel they are wrong then we must question our doubt politely without raising our voice,talking to them,spending time with them and not allowing themselves to feel lonely.Without elders there's no life.
Elders have lived a life and deserve respect.In the University of Life,they are our Seniors who have cleared many examinations(obstacles).We need to value and support them.They have nurtured us since birth and we must support them in every possible way.When we support them,we give them the opportunity to influence our life.The more we get influenced,the better.

Who influence our lives

And must get our support.
